Making a Visit

Nga Manu is located in Waikanae on the Kapiti Coast, North Island, New Zealand.

Waikanae is located on State Highway 1 approx. 50 minutes drive north of Wellington or approx. 70 minutes south of Palmerston North.

Nga Manu Nature Reserve caters for individuals, groups, as well as hosting educational programs for visiting school groups.

Bus and rail services also connect with Waikanae.

Admission

Opening Hours
Nga Manu is open daily from 10am to 5pm every day of the year excluding Christmas Day. Bird feed-out tours 11am daily. Eel feeding is at 2pm daily.

Entry Fees
Adults $12.00
Children under 15 $4.00
Family (Max 2 adults plus children of that family) $24.00
No charge for teacher and parent help with 1:5 ratio or less.

Group Bookings
Discount for groups of 10 or more.
Groups are requested to book in advance.
